This page explains what fidgetsguide.com is, what our articles are meant to do, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

What we publish

fidgetsguide.com publishes news and explainers; it is not a primary source. That distinction matters for how you use the site. An explainer sets out how something works in ordinary language and points you in the right direction. It is not the rule itself, the licence itself, or the official notice itself.

Where a question has legal or financial consequences for you, treat what you read here as a starting point and go to the body that actually issued the rule, or to the operator’s own published terms, before you act.

Articles describe a moment in time

Gambling rules change often, and an article describes the position at the time it was written. Regulators amend conditions, operators change their terms, and requirements that applied in one market may not apply in another. A page that was accurate when published can fall out of date without anything on it visibly changing.

So check the date on an article, and check whether the underlying rule has moved since. If the article and the official position disagree, the official position is the one that counts.

Corrections

We would rather be corrected than left wrong. To report an error, use the contact page. It helps if you tell us:

  • the page or article you are writing about;
  • the specific statement you believe is wrong;
  • what you believe the correct position is, and where that comes from.

Pointing us to the source of the correct information — a regulator’s page, an operator’s terms, an official notice — makes an error far quicker to confirm.

Reading us well

Read our articles as orientation, not as authority. Follow the links we give. Where money, eligibility or legality is involved, verify with the primary source. And if you find something here that does not hold up, tell us through the contact page.
